Imagine a stocky, muscular lioness with two enormous scimitar-like canines sprouting out of its top jaw.

It can smell and see very well, allowing it to operate in the dark without troubles. It is also very stealthy.
Attacks (1/round)
Claws. The sabertooth cat makes a melee attack (1D8).
Pounce. The sabertooth cat makes a running jump and lands on a target, which is allowed a save to avoid damage. On a hit, the target takes damage (2D6), is prone and grappled.
Tear Throat. The sabertooth makes a melee attack against a prone target. On a hit, it gains a Wound.
Random Encounter
- Monster: 1D4 sabertooth cats.
- Lair: A large flat rock overlooking the area. 1/2 chance there are 1D6 cubs.

Omen: A flock of birds scattering away. Silence. - Spoor: A large beast, dead, swarmed by vultures.

- Trace: A roar, far away.
- Trace: A broken sabertooth skull helmet.
Salvaging the body
Sabertooth cats have nice pelts, and their skulls are solid enough to be used as helmets. It provides enough rations for 2D4 days.
